Exclusion from financial services remains a reality for many disadvantaged and vulnerable people. This entrenches social exclusion, creates barriers to work, and often means that those with the least money pay the most for basic goods and services.
The NCC is building links to government, industry and other stakeholders to make sure that work to tackle financial exclusion and promote financial capability is centred around consumers' needs - in both design and delivery of products and services. The NCC has a particular focus on access to banking.
